Chartered Surveyor Lecture About Damp Buildings

A lecture about ill health and living in damp and cold buildings

Stephen Cornish, Managing Director of Woodward Chartered Surveyors and Fellow of the RICS, is to give a lecture at Birkbeck College, University of London, titled "Nutritional status and the built environment".

The lecture covers the relationship between ill health and living in damp and cold buildings. His comparison between timber-frame and brick-built buildings in London's seventeenth century has been described as "ground beaking".

The lecture is based on Steve's thesis for his doctorate.  For those unable to attend there will be another in the summer and, guess what, a book too.  Next thing we know they'll be making a Hollywood movie!
