First documented in 970 AD, High Wycombe sits on the river Wye in Buckinghamshire. With a population close to 100,000 residents, High Wycombe is a bustling market town in the countryside that is desirable for housing. High Wycombe became a market borough in 1237, featuring buildings from different time periods. As a major stopping point from Oxford to London, High Wycombe has historically made its trade through passing travellers but mostly through paper and furniture.

During the Second World War the US Air Force stationed the 8th Air Force Bomber Squadron, and since 1968 has housed the Royal Air Force commands at Royal Air Force 

High Wycombe. Along with the influx of RAF in the 60’s, the town centre was redeveloped of which visual aesthetics are present today.

High Wycombe now operates as a commercial centre for surrounding villages of Booker, West Wycombe, Downley, Hazlemere and Tylers Green.
